Clip-in Ceilings

Typical K40 Specification

General description: Polyester painted steel tiles supported in a concealed clip- in grid system.


Membrane material: Zintec steel tiles.


Size: (refer to table opposite)

Thickness: 0.6mm minimum, with electroplated zinc finish to
BS EN 10143:1993.

Edge detail: See System Details.


Tile Face: Plain or Perforated (see Perforation Patterns).

Finish: Electrostatically applied polyester paint. High opacity formulation to an optimum thickness of 45 microns.


Colour: Standard White colours either BS 00E55 12% gloss or RAL 9010 20% gloss. Other BS or RAL colours available on request. Specified colour to be controlled to Delta E tolerance of 0.5.


Acoustic insert: See Acoustics

Suspension system: Burgess H4 concealed grid system comprising primary grid section ref: GT112 suspended from the soffit at 1500mm maximum centres by galvanised mild steel angle hangers ref: GT114.
Hangers to be secured to primary grid using M6 or equivalent fixings. 45mm wide x 29mm deep x 0.8mm thick galvanised mild steel Spring Tee bars, ref: GT115, to be connected to the primary grid using Universal Bracket, ref: GT109, at centres corresponding to tile length.


Perimeter Trim: Galvanised mild steel perimeter trim, ref: GT119, colour and finish to match tile.

Fire Performance: The ceiling system must be fully tested in accordance with BS 476 Parts 6 and 7 and be of such performance as to be designated CLASS 'O' under United Kingdom Building Regulations. The ceiling system must be fully tested in accordance with BS 476 Part 8 and be capable of providing 1 hour fire protection to steel beams.

Acoustic Performance: Full consideration must be given to the acoustic contribution of the ceiling.
An appropriate acoustic insert is to be provided to achieve:
