Joggled Tegular Ceilings

Typical K40 Specification

General description: Polyester painted steel tiles supported in an exposed tee grid.

Membrane material: Zintec steel tiles.

Size: 600 x 600mm.

Thickness: 0.6mm minimum, with electroplated zinc finish to BS EN 10143:1993.

 


Edge detail: Joggled Tegular.

Tile Face: Plain or Perforated (refer to Perforation Patterns).

Finish: Electrostatically applied polyester paint. High opacity formulation to an optimum thickness of 45 microns.

Colour: Standard White colours either BS 00E55 12% gloss or RAL 9010 12% gloss. Other BS or RAL colours available on request. Specified colour to be controlled to Delta E tolerance of 0.5.

Suspension system: Tiles to be supported by the Burgess 24mm exposed tee grid system, with Main Tees installed at 1200mm maximum centres and supported at 1200mm maximum centres by rigid angle or wire hangers.

Perimeter Trim: Galvanised mild steel perimeter trim, ref: GT119, colour and finish to match tile.

Fire Performance: The ceiling system must be fully tested in accordance with BS 476 Parts 6 and 7 and be of such performance as to be designated CLASS 'O' under United Kingdom Building Regulations. The ceiling system must be assessed to be capable of giving half an hour fire protection when tested to BS 476 Part 8.

Acoustic Performance: Full consideration must be given to the acoustic contribution of the ceiling. An appropriate acoustic insert is to be provided to achieve:
