Typical K40 Specification

General description: Polyester painted steel tiles supported in an exposed tee grid.

Membrane material: Zintec steel tiles.

Size: 500 x 500mm.

Thickness: 0.6mm, with electroplated zinc finish to BS EN 10143:1993.

Edge detail: Square edges to all sides.

Tile Face: Plain or Perforated (refer to Perforation Patterns)

Finish: Electrostatically applied polyester paint. High opacity formulation to an optimum thickness of 45 microns.

Colour: RAL 9010 12% gloss. Other BS or RAL colours available on request. Specified colour to be controlled to Delta E tolerance of 0.5.

Acoustic insert: SRA/15 acoustic insert to achieve 41 Dn,c,w.

Suspension system: Tiles to be supported by the Burgess 25 x 16mm extruded tee grid system with 'twist-out' feature to enable cross noggins to be removed in- situ, incorporating optional continuous M6 thread detail, supported at 1200mm maximum centres by rigid angle or wire hangers.

Perimeter Trim: Extruded aluminium perimeter channel trim, ref: ET181, colour Ral 9010 12% gloss.

Fire Performance: The ceiling system must be fully tested in accordance with BS 476 Parts 6 and 7 and be of such performance as to be designated CLASS 'O' under United Kingdom Building Regulations.

Acoustic Performance: Full consideration must be given to the acoustic contribution of the ceiling. An appropriate acoustic insert is to be provided to achieve:
